Question by Sweetie: If I decide not to prosecute someone for credit card fraud will my credit be ruined?
Two populated used my credit cards without my consent. I filed a police report and they were arrested and jailed for 7 weeks. Their hearing is on Jan. 14 and I want to drop the charges even though they already confessed to everything. I was told that as long as I filed a police report I was OK. If I drop the charges now will my credit be ruined or is it still fraud?

Is this becoming a more common scenario in the scheme of credit card fraud?

Question by CrabApple: Is this becoming a more common scenario in the scheme of credit card fraud?
Twice in the last month, we have received calls from the fraud department of II different card accompanying stating that our cards had recently been used out-of-state. It wasn’t just the number, it was the cards being swiped….we were still in possession of our cards, which means that someone got a hold of our numbers and created actual plastic cards from those numbers. I think.Have you had similar experiences with credit card fraud?-don’t think these are scams. The account was closed, and we standard new credit cards. We did call the companies backward afterwards to verify authenticity of the calls.

the one that looking to be going around is someone calls and tells you that the above case has happened to you. Then they inquire you to verify that you actually have the card in your possession by giving them the three digit number from the back of your card. Do not ever give out that number. If your credit card accompanying was actually calling they would have that total. If you get such a call ask for a number that you can call them support on. Then call the number on the back of your credit card and report the scam.

Unfortunately, you do not have many options that will give you results without spending more money than you perdu.Une option could be the Small Claims Court. Check the filing fee in your région.Toutes corporate credit card will do is manage the refund to the person mischarged. They will probably not pursue the fraudster in this race for what, for them, is a small quantité.Vous may be able to place the load on your insurance company as theft. And you may be able to report it on your taxes as theft or bad debt;. Check with your accountant

What is considered the “safer” card? Best answer: Answer by Nicole

I guess a debit card. Have you not put in a pin number to use a debit card. With a credit tease they just need to go and sign.
